Quick summary of the problem I'm trying to fix:
The exhaust port on the PSU got accidentally blocked so it overheated and the PC shut down. I took the side panel off and let it cool off for over an hour, checked for any physical damage and found none, so turned it back on and everything is working fine. Except for the GPU fan. It won't spin. That's fine for light use, but I want to game with it, so I'm going to buy a new OEM GPU from an authorized vendor. I'm wondering if upgrading from the 2GB version of the card to the 4GB would work?
The one I have now that has a broken fan is part number 940269-001 and the one I'm looking at buying is part number 940272-001. The only differences that I can see are the display connections and the vRAM. Anything else that sticks out or is known to be a problem?
I am not looking for solutions to fixing the fan. That's not really an option for me. I just want to replace the card all together. I'm capable of doing it myself.

Hey thanks for the info. I had looked at retail GPUs but unfortunately the PSU in this model is only 300W and all of the cards I found require a more robust PSU. That you linked card shows :
- Minimum Power Supply Requirement: 350W
XFX Recommended Power Supply: XFX 450W PSU
I can't afford to buy a GPU and a PSU, and I don't want to burn out my PSU that has already overheated once lol.
