Hey! I'm trying to upgrade HP Z420 stock fans to Noctua (PWM) silent fans, but soon I realized they don't have the same (4 pin) connectors. The fan connectors on the motherboard are non- standard - they are keyed differently and standard fan connectors (like the one on Noctua NF-A6x25 PWM) won't attach. The guides on the stock fan connectors are both placed symmetrically on the edge of the connector. I checked with Noctua and they only state that the fans are not compatible. I was wondering if this cable could help: https://www.reichelt.de/delock-kabel-power-4-pin-stecker-4-pin-buchse-pwm-10-cm-delock-85360-p220121... ?
Would it be risky to simply try to connect with this cable? Or should it work fine?
Thanks for any help!

@Ellidian -- that adapter seems to be 100% "mechanical", and 0% "electronic" in manufacture.
So, personally, I would have no fear in using it.
