I have a HP Slimline Desktop model 290-p0025xt and I need to replace the internal CMOS battery. I have reviewed the related support video and I believe I should have no problems getting into the PC and replacing the battery. My question relates to powering up the PC after the new battery is installed. Will the system just boot-up as normal or will it prompt me to make any adjustments? Do I need to be concerned with the system BIOS & its settings after the installation of a new battery?
Any tips and guidance you can provide will be appreciated. This is the first time I have replaced a CMOS battery so I want to be prepared for anything unusual.
Thank you.

Hi:
You will most likely have to adjust the system date and time since the settings will be lost.
Removing and replacing the CMOS battery will normally set the BIOS settings to their defaults, so any changes you may have made to the BIOS prior to removing the battery will have to be re-done.
