I need to replace my power supply for my HP desktop. So, do I just buy and replace it with any power supply or is there a specific type I should purchase?

Thanks for any and all help!

Thank you for the additional information, @DMahl.

Any ATX power supply unit (PSU) should work as long as it fits into the space provided.  The best way to tell is measure the current PSU.  I like Corsair products.  You might want to consider a modular PSU since you have a mid-size case.  I recommend at least 500W.

@DMahl, welcome to the forum.

What is the full model or product number for the computer?  Please do not furnish the Serial # or other personal information.  Here is a guide to help you find the model.  I need this information to know the type of power supply unit (PSU) is being used.

@sigmapol , welcome back to the forum.

It is always best if you start your own thread.  However, since you have posted here, I will try to help you.

The model that you provided doesn't appear to be correct.  Please check it and provide the correct model of product number.
