Hello Paul
I finally purchased 2 drives. Lexar's NVMe and Crucial's 2.5 Sata
Unfortunately, it turned out that I have no way to mount the sata drive because there is neither a cable nor a frame for the drive, which surprised and saddened me terribly On the HP hotline I received information that it is a standard Sata Sata cable as well as a frame
Unfortunately this is not true;/ Do you have any knowledge of what cable/frame I should buy? Maybe Part Number?

Hi:

I wished you had told me that you were planning to buy a 2.5" drive.

Our discussions previously focused on a replacement NVMe SSD.

I would have informed you if you wanted to add a 2.5" drive that none of the parts would be there to add one since the PC came with a NVMe SSD.

Only the models in that series that came with a hard drive would have had the parts there to install one.

Unfortunately, I could not find any models in that series that came with a mechanical hard drive to look up the parts list for it.

All the models I could find either came with a 512 GB NVMe SSD or a 1 TB NVMe SSD with the onboard Intel Optane memory.

Hi
But I'm not talking about a mechanical drive.... Just about a 2.5 SSD Sata drive - https://www.crucial.com/ssd/mx500/CT2000MX500SSD1
In the video you provided it is shown how to replace install it, only there is no this tape and frame....

I understand that.

Some of the models came with 2.5" mechanical hard drives, and if someone wanted to install a 2.5" SSD instead, the parts would have been there.

The service video is for all models, and not all models have the same hardware.

That part would apply to a PC that has a hard drive and how to remove and replace it.

Sorry, but I can't help you find the drive assembly you need.

I suggest you contact HP customer support and see if they can help.

Surely, they must have access to what models come with 2.5" drives and can find a part list that has those parts.

The other question would be...are those parts even available?

Hi
I contacted the official HP hotline and support in Poland where they informed me to use a standard SATA cable;/ In my opinion they have a big mess;/ (E.g. they informed me that my computer is still 398 days under warranty, where I explained to them that this is not possible:)) After a while they confirmed that the warranty has expired, but about the cables where I showed that you need a special plug they did not say anymore
I'm still waiting for a reply from the authorized HP service, but I'm afraid that the same answer will be;/.

BTW

Funniest of all, on the HP website regarding the specifications of the Rissoto board, I received info that there is support for PCIe x4:)

HP Recommended

Yes, that is pretty much useless information.

Only the one end of the SATA HDD cable would be universal.

The end that goes into the motherboard ZIF connector, that has to be correct.

That is odd they told you the motherboard supports PCIe 4.0 since the Intel specs clearly state otherwise.

I'm sorry to say, that I think the odds are against you finding what you need.

One other suggestion would be to contact the HP's authorized parts suppliers and ask them if they have the SATA drive assembly for the HP ENVY All-in-One - 32-a0000i model series.

The suppliers are listed alphabetically by country.
