HP Recommended

Hello,

I own Compaq ProLinea 3/25s desktop PC and I’m trying to determine what the original factory software, drivers, and licensed pre-installed programs were when this model was shipped.
I would like to restore it to its original configuration as accurately as possible, including the correct licensed software that originally came with it.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find reliable archival information on the HP website, and the support forms require a modern serial number that my system does not have. Therefore, I’m hoping someone from HP or a community expert familiar with legacy Compaq hardware can help.

Here is what I have from the device:

  • Model: Compaq ProLinea 3/25s
  • FCC ID: Edited
  • Motherboard Assembly No.: 002596-001
  • Spare No.: 141667-001
  • Board markings include something like: *DYS8ZO5X%* (possibly a serial-related code)
  • The bottom chassis label includes 141724-017 S2 (but this appears to be a part number, not the serial number)

I would like to know:

  1. What operating system was originally shipped with the ProLinea 3/25s?
  2. What licensed software (utilities, drivers, Compaq tools) was included at the time of sale?
  3. Whether any archived restore disks or documentation still exist, and where they might be obtained legally.

If needed, I can provide photographs of the labels and BIOS screens — but the HP Corporate contact form did not allow attachments.
I would greatly appreciate any information, manuals, part lists, or pointers to HP archives or former Compaq resources.

Thank you very much!
