Product: Omen 880 SE
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
In regards to configuring a new system with the GForce 1080 Ti 11GB graphics card, the hP site allows you to use the standard 500w Bronze power supply. However when you look at the specs of the graphics card on the Nvidea website it says minimum power supply 600 watts. So how can HP allow that card in a 500 watt system?

Hi,
- OEM graphics cards are built to different specifications.
- The NVIDIA GTX 1080 TI can vary depending on make and model from 250 to 280 watts.
- A 500 watt 90% efficiency rated PSU might more power available compared to a 600 watt 70% efficient PSU.
- Graphic card manufactures can't predict the PSU efficiency or existing wattage load in the PCs.
- Typical PC wattage use calculators are not accurate.
- HP has specialized engineers that understand the PC's components and wattage draws being used within a given product.
