Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hello!

So recently, I have upgraded my RAM to 8Gb and as I found out most of the RAM is reserved.

I've tried a few things now but none of them seems to work. I'm sure that both of the RAM sticks and slots work.

I would be grateful for your reccomendations!

According to the posting info, you stated that the OS is Windows 7 (32-bit).  If that is the case, then the most the system can use is 4GB.  Actually somewhat less than that, because it is 32Bit.  In order to utilize more -  closer to the 8GB of Ram ,it needs to be 64Bit OS.

Just an FYI: the OS cannot be upgraded to 64Bit, it needs to be reinstalled with a 64Bit system.

I'm not an HP employee.
