Running older HP. It stopped working. Replaced CMOS battery. Computer powers up and screen shows "F9 boot menu", "F10 setup".
Computer checks memory, then beeps and shows message: "Invalid electronic serial number 162-System Options Not Set. . . . Pressing F1 will record new configuration". No F keys do anything. Switching keyboard had no effect. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, it is mentioned that if this does not work, that you have to contact HP
So probably not recoverable, you have to replace the motherboard
The computer being quite old, I advise you to go to a professional
Or maybe it's time to replace it
