Hi @Sissy1961,
Thank you for your response,
Yes, the reversed mouse action for your HP Wireless Keyboard & Mouse 300 can be fixed by adjusting the settings on your computer. Here’s how you can resolve the issue.
For Windows:
Access Mouse Settings:
- Press Windows + I to open the Settings menu.
- Navigate to Devices > Mouse.
Adjust Pointer Settings:
- Look for the option Reverse Scrolling Direction or any setting related to pointer movement (this option may not appear in all devices).
- If you don’t see this setting, proceed to the next step.
Check Orientation in Mouse Software:
- If your HP mouse uses custom software (like HP Mouse Control or HP Accessory Center), open it and look for an option to correct the movement direction.
- If you do not have this software, you can download it from HP's official support page for your product.
Reset Driver:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
- Right-click your HP Wireless Mouse and select Uninstall Device.
- Restart your computer, and the system will reinstall the driver automatically.
For macOS:
Check Mouse Preferences:
- Go to System Settings > Mouse.
- Ensure the Scroll Direction: Natural is set according to your preference.
Update or Reset Settings:
- If the issue persists, try disconnecting and reconnecting the mouse. Pair it again through Bluetooth or the USB receiver.
Check Accessibility Settings:
- Go to System Settings > Accessibility > Pointer Control.
- Look for any settings related to pointer speed or direction and reset them.

Additional Steps:
Re-Pair the Device:
- Disconnect the USB receiver and turn off the mouse.
- Reconnect the receiver and turn the mouse back on to re-establish the connection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
