Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I did the Win 11 compatible check and my Ryzen 5 2400G with Radeon Vega Graphics (690-0083w) is a no-go.  What CPU can I upgrade to and that will be simple plug-n play?  Thanks

Hi:

Your PC comes with a HP 'Sunflower' motherboard.

HP Desktop PCs - motherboard specifications, Sunflower | HP® Support

The Sunflower motherboard supports two processors that meet Microsoft's minimum W11 processor requirements:

Windows processor requirements Windows 11 supported AMD processors | Microsoft Learn

AMD Ryzen7-2700 (Pinnacle Ridge) 8 cores/16 threads
65 W
AMD Ryzen5-2600 (Pinnacle Ridge) 6 cores/12 threads
65 W

Since the product specs indicate that it comes with a discrete graphics card, there shouldn't be anything additional you need to do other than to upgrade the processor.

The onboard AMD GPU is not supported for either of the above processors.

If you are interested in doing an in-place upgrade from W10>W11 as is, you can, but you will have to use a workaround that bypasses the W11 hardware checks.

Watch this video for the easiest way that I know of to do an in-place upgrade from W10>W11 25H2:
