Product: HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000a (2Z6C8AV)

I have an hp pavilion pc with the ryzen 5 5600g and rx5500 and recently took out the cpu for another pc. I tried to put a Ryzen 5 2600 I had laying around in but the pc won’t boot. Anyone know of any way I could get it to run with this cpu? It looks like the compatibility issue is due to hp and not the actuall components but I’m not 100% sure.

According to the 2Z6C8AV product number your posted, your PC has an Erica 6 motherboard.

 

Below is the link to the Erica 6 motherboard specs which has the list of supported processors you can run in it.

The Ryzen 5 2600 processor will not work in your PC.
