I see 2 used ports, 1 for CD/DVD & 1 for hard drive. There are 2 more ports, 1 yellow & 1 orange. I want to add a 1TB internal SSD drive as boot drive. which ports should I use??

hi

this one ?

I'll answer you, just in case, because I don't know if I could find this type of information.
moreover for having done the test with a replacement by ssd, and which went well..
If you are cloning to the SSD, just connect it to one of the free ports
once finished, make the change connect the SSD instead of the original HDD
If you are doing a full install, preferably use the HDD port..
The why, I have already seen a motherboard, with sata ports 3 and 6!
so the fastest port was already in use..
it may not be the case here, but you never know
You can then check if you are using the hdd as a second drive
