Hello, I recently purchased an HP OmniDesk M02-0011nb desktop PC (C1UT0EA) and would like to add an additional SATA hard drive. I'm looking for the correct power cable to connect the hard drive to the motherboard. I've noticed that it's a 4-pin connector, but I can't find the right cable with the corresponding notches...
Could you please help me?
Thank you

@Elitebabystar, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
When adding an additional SATA hard drive to your HP OmniDesk Desktop PC M02-0000a series, you generally need both a SATA data cable and a SATA power cable for the connection. Your motherboard and power supply should have appropriate ports to support these connections.
SATA Power Cable:
- The SATA power cable commonly has a 15-pin connector that connects directly from the power supply to the hard drive.
- If you have identified a “4-pin connector,” it might be referring to a Molex connector. In cases where a Molex to SATA power adapter cable is needed, ensure it matches the characteristics of your power supply outputs.
SATA Data Cable:
- The SATA data cable usually connects directly from the motherboard to the hard drive. This is typically a smaller 7-pin connector.
For additional visuals and specific configuration, you can view the related product document: HP OmniDesk Desktop PC M02-0000a series specifications.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply!
I have identified the 4-pin power connector on the motherboard, and it is square-shaped. However, I can't find a matching power cable to plug into it, which is why I posted on the forum!
I do have the correct data cable for connecting the hard drive.
I hope someone can tell me the correct type of power cable to buy for this connection!
Thank you!
