SATA speed 3Gb/sec vs 6Gb/s - HP Elite 8000 SFF 4 Cpu and 2 Cpu systems - What speed do they support

I am at a point where I will be replacing my Hard Drives.

If my PC's will support the SATA 6Gb/s speed, I will buy the appropriate Hard Drives.

If not, I will not spend the money.

Do / will they run at the 6Gb/s speed?

Hi, Mike:

The drive controller speed for the 8000 Elite model series is 3.0 GB/S.

Not until the 8200 Elites came out was the drive controller capable of 6.0 GB/S speeds.
