Hello, i purchased a used Z2 Tower G5.with an i9 10500 CPU.
It misses the SD-Card Reader, but I would like to have one.
When I go to the HP Part Surfer and enter my product number (2Z6C0UP), I dont get any card reader matches.
When I search with serial (MXL1103X8B), I get
2Z6C0UP | L33439-001 | SPS-ASSY USB3.0 SD4 SFF SD Card Reader | Assembly USB3.0 SD4 SFF SD Car |
When I use the number 9FR65AV (I got it from the product list of owned devices) I get L33439-001 too.
But I dont have a SFF (like the description of the reader says), I own a tower.
So I'm a bit confused, if it it is the right part.
Could someone take a look into its Z2 TWR G5 and write down the part number at the cable of the CardReader for me?
Thank you a lot.

- SD: Secure Digital, the standard type of memory card.
- 4: Indicates the storage capacity of the card, which is 4 Gigabytes.
- SFF: Stands for "Small Form Factor," meaning the card is a smaller version of a standard SD card.
I recommend a USB-3 adapter. This is the one I use and it works well.

Hi, and thank you for your reply.
It would not be nice, if the card reader could only read SD of 4GByte and a smaller form factor.
Since I got a lot of "normal" SD Cards.
Maybe, I should really use a external reader (what I dont like as much as an internal one).
Meanwhile I found a so called QuickSpecs -Pdf for the Z2 TWR G5. There is listet a
141K3AA/AT Kit as card reader.
I went to a dealers webpage, where 141K3AA/AT is listed with a photo.
But the the device shown would not fit to the Z2 TWR G5s case and looks differet to the one in the picture of the maintence guide. I hope the dealers photo is a wrong one.

One of the problem with built-in SD readers is if the card is not ejected properly the device can hang and the PC needs to be rebooted. The flash USB adapter can simply be put into another USB slot.

Hm, never had such problems with internal SD readers.
Also, I cant believe, that a device from 2020 would only read 4GByte SDCards. This times had been gone in 2020.
There is also a service kit number for the reader: 141K3AA/AT.
But photos of this in webshops also do not fit into the computers case.
And the price is to high for it with the risk that it doesnt match the computer.
Maybe, I will get a used one on ebay sometime.
(another interesting fact is: they use the same photo for the reader for the Z2G5SFF-Computer which has the number 16U37AA, but in the Z2G5SFF Maintenance Guide it looks completely different from the photo. So its the same problem like with the Z2G5TWR. So it seems the photos are wrong, the maintanance guides are right)
Thats the reason why I asked for someone, who has a build in card reader, just to bee shure.

I also found some HP SD readers on ebay, which seem to fit to the housing of the Z2 G5 Tower. But theyr part number ist not listed at the Z2 G5 Towers QuickSpecs nor HP PartSurfer. Thats also annoying.
Picture from ebay, Partnumbers from this ebay page: L905606-001 L15896-001.
I'm getting more and more confused.
