Hello.

No, it will not delete any files, and your computer should start normally.

SMART is a hard disk monitoring system, and in your case you have received an early warning about a probable failure in the near future.

The hard disk cannot be repaired, it needs to be replaced. A hard disk failure can cause all your data to be lost permanently, so your first priority is to back up all data to an external target - a USB drive for example.

Then have your hard disk replaced. If your hard drive is still free of any defects it's possible to clone its contents to a new hard drive so all your software, data and settings are preserved. Much faster than installing an operating system and drivers to a new (empty) hard drive, then install all the software, and finally your data from the backups.

Hard drives are sold in all computer shops. Most can also do the cloning work as well.

Replace that hard drive now, as @Jupitero  says.  Using cloning software, also as he says, to make it easy.  DO IT NOW! before the drive fails.

If you purchase a Seagate or WD or Samsung drive, they have cloning software on the respective support sites.

Depending on the HP model number, please post - possibly install a SSD SATA drive as the replacement.
