Hi
Are you referring to front panel SS USB?
You could have a motherboard problem with the USB controller or a front panel problem with the USB ports or wiring. Do you have any Device Manager errors? If so, then you may have a USB driver problem.

Hi,
Firstly thanks for your response.
SS-USB connector (male) is soldered on the motherboard. This is connected using a connector cable to the Front Panel USB 3.0 Port.
Drivers and controllers are installed and no error message is coming in the Device Manager.
Please guide me further. Thanks again.

Hi,
My pleasure.
I see two USB 2.0 ports on the front panel. Both don't work, is this correct? If one port works then you have a bad USB port. If both ports are down then you have a bad connection to the MB or a bad MB component.
Either the dual port and wiring cable has failed or you have a motherboard FP USB 2.0 controller problem. You will have to replace the soldered USB part (soldered connection and dual USB port) or replace the motherboard depending on which part has failed.
This may not be cost effective.

Hi,
The two front USB Ports are USB 2.0 and both are working. I am taking about SS-USB which is there on the motherboard but not connecting cable or USB 3.0 port has been provided in the original PC. Now I have changed the casing which have an additional port USB 3.0. I have connected the SS-USB of the motherboard with the USB 3.0 port with the connecting cable provided along with the casing. The connecting cable is of 9 pin female connector which matches perfectly with the SS-USB (blue color) on the motherboard. But this is not working.
Hope I have now made it clear.
Is there a SS-USB driver available which may resolve the issue.
Thanks & Regards

Hi
You are using a different case with standard USB 3.0 connectors.
I would think HP is using modified USB 3.0 pinouts. The new case front panel USB 3.0 connections won't work when using a HP motherboard.
There is no solution to this problem unless you can find a USB adapter cable to fix the problem.
