Microsoft Windows 11

Product name: HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-cp0000 (2Q7W8AV)

Hello, I have recently decided I want to get an SSD for my laptop as I'm running out of storage in my C: drive, but I'm not yet knowledgeable on how to go about it and what exactly to purchase.

I've seen online that it isn't just any SSD i can purchase, and I have to get one that's compatible with my device system, but I'm not sure where to access this information. I've checked my system info through my laptop's settings, as well as pressing fn+esc. I still own the product information booklet that had come with my laptop, but it's more of general info than that specific to my own system.

Would appreciate if anyone is somehow able to identify which type of SSD would be compatible with my specific device. Thank you.

Hi:

If your notebook has an AMD Ryzen processor, you can install a NVMe SSD.

I recommend this one if all you need is a 1 TB drive:

Samsung 980 1 TB PCIe 3.0 (up to 3.500 MB/s) NVMe M.2 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-V8V1T0BW)...

Below is the link to the service manual:
