Hello,

I am having trouble setting up my ssd. i have dealt with ssd before but not an m2. The ssd is a WD Blue SATA 250 gb and it has both the M and B key.  It inserted into the m2 slot no problem, all 3 connectors. I turn on my computer, don't see in window nor disk managment. Did some research and they said to go BIOS and enable m.2 ok, here what I do:

Setting--> update and security--->recovery-->advance startup (restart now)--> troubleshoot -->advance option--> UEFI firmware settings-->restart

Then wait for the thing to do its job, and then F10 for BIOS setting. There is nothing in there that said enable m.2 or am I in the wrong place?

One more thing, I decided to completely reset my computer the day before my SSD arrived. I don't want my new SSD to be full when I clone. So did the full and complete reset mess anythings up?

Thanks

Which slot do you use ?

Willow2 motherboard top view

The top one is not for SSD.

My ssd is currently in the M.2 SSD socket. One more thing to mention, I decided to update the BIOS just to see if anything change and it was pointless.

In BIOS, you should see something  in Advanced menu

    Advanced > Devices > PCI

and make sure PCI option is enabled.

I changed the PSU a little while back because I want more power. DId I forgot a cable and power is not supply to the m.2 SSD? I doubt it. I enable everything and Window still not detects the ssd.

Thanks

Hi,

From your image

Device option

BIOS does not know the second PCIe slot, it only sees the WLAN adapter. Do you have some a volt meter to measure current on the PCIe SSD slot.
