Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

C; Drive is 512GB SSD - D drive: 2TB HDD Continually being told C; drive is full despite all settings set to 😧 HDD drive. Windows updates will not install. Documents will not save. Have record of 10+ ref: numbers for support, I have allowed remote access on every occasion and have had 'we will call you back' never happened, to fixes that have lasted a week or so and then problem is back. I am classified as a key worker remote from home but have a £2k piece of junk that is incapable of performing the task for which it is manufactured. Any advice welcome because currently this is 'not fit for purpose' [content removed]. Please only post solutions. Many thanks

@alank0210,

You need to physically move those files from the C drive, then reset the destinations, as explained:

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..

Hi, thanks for suggestion.

It mirrors suggestions already made and have not provided a solution as problem continually re-occurs.

I already have HP machines with twin drives which has never had this problem, extremely smooth transition between drives.

Have given remote access on 9 occasions to HP support, they either empty the C: drive and tell me it’s sorted or on a couple of occasions have compiled files and told me they will ring me back (has not yet happened).

The problem pops back up within a week or so rendering the computer useless as it will not spool files to printer or any other actions.

On one call I had 4 different operators 1 in USA, Tunisia, and 2 in Romania.

The machine is not as defined by statute ‘fit for purpose’ and I am now taking action on that basis.

Many thanks for your input it really is appreciated.

Take care and please stay safe.

Thanks for the reply, as mentioned I have already gone through numerous processes including the 'howtogeek', HP Support have changed the destination to the D drive on numerous occasions and problem re-occurs weekly.

I have been waiting over a week for the third time for a phone call back from HP Support.

The machine will not reset to factory default.

My home network of 3 computers and 2 printers are all HP, after this shambles that situation will be remedied.

They have left me hanging out to dry with a £2k piece of junk.

Thanks for your time
