Microsoft Windows 11

So I recently upgraded the NVME ssd in my desktop, and everything is fine except that it is not running at full speed. The drive is a Samsung 980 SSD 1TB, and it runs on PCIe Gen 3x4, but when I check Samsung Magician and CrystalDiskInfo, it is running on PCIe Gen 3x2, which makes the top speed only around 1700 Mbps, literally almost half of its performance. My computer is an HP Pavilion TG01 Gaming Desktop and uses the HP Erica6 motherboard which I checked before I bought the drive and it said it would fully support it. How can I change it so that the drive runs at full speed?

Specs if needed:

CPU: Ryzen 3 5300G

GPU: GTX 1650 Super

SSD: Samsung 1TB 980 SSD (boot)

RAM: 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHZ

@ccorspe332 , welcome to the Community.

This is a question that could be best answered by Samsung's Tech Support.  They are the experts on their products.  I believe that it may be an incompatibility issue.

Is there anything I can do? They told me to get support from here as the computer is an HP. I find it weird because I had another computer that was significantly slower than mine reaching speeds up to 3000 MBPS.

Thank you for the additional information, @ccorspe332!

The only suggestion that I have is run Samsung Magician again.  This may solve your problem!
