HP ENVY Desktop - 795-0050

Can I upgrade the SSD Drive on my HP 795-0050 desktop PC from 256GB to 512GB?

Hi:

According to the product specs for your PC, it comes with a 256 GB SATA SSD.

You should be able to install a 512 GB SSD, but not only that, your PC's Berks motherboard supports NVMe SSD's, which have 3x to 5x faster sequential read/write speeds than SATA SSD's do, and cost about the same.

I recommend you replace the 256 GB SATA SSD with a 500 GB NVMe SSD such as this one...

I have been buying WD Blue  500gb from Walmart and they work fine.

Are you interested in speed or size?
