OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC GT22-1000i (6C1R8AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I’m having a problem with my computer. It was sent in for warranty repair and returned about 2–3 weeks ago, during which the display adapter was replaced. For about two weeks after that, I was able to play games without any issues. However, the same problem that occurred before the warranty repair has come back. While playing games, the computer sometimes suddenly starts making loud fan noises, the screen goes black, but I can still hear the game audio through the headphones.

If it is one game that is causing the problem then look for game patches.

If it is not associated with a particular application then it could be a number of things.

1 - Monitor your temperatures, use air duster frequently.
Coretemp is a good temperature monitoring app but your omen game hub should be able to monitor temps.

2 - Avoid turbo mode: In the Advanced Power Plan, set the percent processor utilization to %99 instead of %100 to prevent going into turbo. This can make a huge difference in temperature and very little difference in performance.

3 - Look in the event viewer for anything suspicious. It will help to clear the event viewer every now and then to make it easier to find the errors.
Suspicious: 1000s of identical repeated error messages, video board errors (kernel stopped responding)

4 - Memory. Run the windows memory test.
