930 creator wireless mouse
Linux

i bought the mouse around 2 weeks back from amazon . The mouse working fine for around 1 week after that the scroll wheel has become unusable . I cannot scroll at all. I have tried the mouse on multiple OS and on Different devices . I updated the firmware using the the hp accessory app . I cannot return the mouse as it is beyond the return date and do not know how to fix this . What do i do now. The scroll wheel is detected every once in like 10 strokes and after that the scrolling is very erratic and doesnt go with the natural flow of the mouse wheel.

You will have to disassemble it and remove any debris from the wheel area.   If no debris then one side of the wheel axel came off the support.  If the support broke you will have to superglue it.

Unfortunately this happens all too frequently and was a serious problem with the older ball type before optical mice were introduced.  Rollers tend to pick up cat hairs easily.

I got tired of replacing the vowel key  letters on keyboards and ended up buying a keyboard that had leds in the keys.  Not cheap, nor was the  mouse that came with the combo.
