Second HDD for HP 110-405na

I would like to know whether is possible to install a second HDD on this PC?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 1 TB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive installed on the PC.
And, also you can add an additional hard drive on this PC.

I only see two SATA ports on the motherboard. One for the HDD and one for the optical drive I presume.

Where therefore would a second HDD connect to?

You can replace a SATA Optical drive with 2nd HDD.

This tool will be helpful just in case if you come across OS failure you can use HP Cloud Recovery tool to download recovery software to a USB drive.

NOTE: Do not install the HP Cloud Recovery Tool on an external hard drive. The tool does not work when downloaded to an external hard drive.
