OMEN 25L Desktop PC GT12-1000a (ID 1Z1C0AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello.
I want to put a second M.2 SSD card into my second slot and I was just wondering what is the maximum speed rate of the second M.2 SSD I can put in my PC and what is the maximum storage I can use? 2TB or 4TB? Also the slot is located behind the Graphics Card so can I also put a Heatsink on it? I am not sure if it will fit as there is not much space.
(The width of the first M.2 Heatsink is 25mm but the space between the Graphics card and the Motherboard is only 18mm.)

@OMEN_User25L,

Your OMEN 25L Desktop PC GT12-1000a (1Z1C0AV), which appears to be fitted with the Hana motherboard (SSID: 8876) -upgradeable to an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X or AMD Ryzen 9 5900X.

Anyway, the maximum speed a secondary M.2 NVMe SSD can achieve in your OMEN 25L depends on many factors, such as brand and model.

Consider these OMEN 25L (Hana motherboard) Users, and how their secondary M.2 NVMe SSDs perform:

I wouldn't worry too much about overheating an M.2 NVMe SSD, especially if it is a secondary drive -not your primary/boot drive.  However, I almost always use some sort of M.2 NVMe SSD heatsink just for peace of mind, and in case of restricted space, I would use something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Graugear-passive-aluminium-Thermal-G-M2HS02/dp/B09L1GLQRB/ref=pd_ci_mcx_di_....

You can install any capacity M.2 NVMe SSD: only your budget is your limit.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
