Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I am interested to install a secondary hard drive for my HP Slim Desktop S01-pF1190d because the default 256 GB SSD is almost full. Instead of upgrading the SSD to a much larger volume SSD, I would prefer to install a secondary hard drive so that re-installation of apps is not required, and only need to move certain apps to secondary hard drive, and run both hard drive together.

I tried to understand the product specs but I could not found out whether my PC has relevant space/port for a secondary hard drive. If there is, may I know also what type of hard drive is supported for the PC?

Thank you.

You may have to use a low profile SATA cable like the following

You have the "milton" motherboard according to some documentation I found here.  Unaccountably one document states there are two slots for M.2 ssd and another doc states only one.  I looked for the motherboard and found the following of which I took a partial image.  There was only one slot for m.2 ssd contrary to one of the motherboard descriptions.

You should be able to attach a 2.5in SSD such as Western Digital Blue 1tb at any unused SATA connector (white or light/dark blue)  of the 3 shown.  A small plastic disk ssd such as WD Blue can be left to hang and not need an installation bracket.  Just cable tie it to be sure it is clear of any fans. You may have to get a Y connector to attach power.   If you use a mechanical hard drive then you will need a bracket to hold it.

Thank you for your prompt reply, I will open the CPU when I back to home (perhaps this weekend) to take a photo and see whether there is relevant slot for secondary hard drive or not.

I tried to take some photo of it but I am not sure whether I could still install it back or not if I remove those fans out from the motherboard
