My new PC came with 16 GB of RAM, and I want to see my upgrade options. Unfortunately, I can't find any info other than the amount and type of memory installed. I'm disappointed by the lack of technical information available. I did find an article on upgrading RAM, but it references a Maintenance and Service Guide or Hardware Reference Guide, neither of which is listed among the manuals available for this model. All I see are cheesy guides with mostly pictures that look like they were written for kindergarten kids.
My main question is simply this: how much memory can my system board support? Should be a simple question. And a secondary question: is there a more comprehensive guide that gives more technical information about my hardware?
So, where can I find this information?

Your PC's motherboard has support for up to 64GB of installed memory.
The article refers to upgrading memory, but access to a Maintenance & Service guide is limited to laptop PC's.
If you had provided the Product number or system SKU I would have been able to have been more specific .

This may be your motherboard.

You're welcome!
Enjoy the weekend.
In reality, 32GB is enough for what most people will use. I have 32GB on my Gaming rig and just can't see the value of bumping it up to 64GB.

Follow-up. Here is the info for my specific machine: Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-0000a RCTO Base Model
Product59A32AV. I'm hoping the motherboard you referenced is not the correct one as it states it only has two DIMM slots, each supporting up to 8 GB, which would limit it to 16 GB of total RAM, correct?

Two DIMM slots is enough.
If you take a look at the offerings of memory on the link I provided you will see that a 64GB kit is offered which has two 32GB memory modules.

That is HP's recommendation, but Crucial has tested the memory and guarantees that it will work as expected when installed.
What I and Crucial have provided is real world upgrade advice.
I have yet to hear from anyone that their Crucial memory upgrade with guaranteed compatibility has failed to work as expected.

To find out how much memory your system board can support, there are a few steps you can take. Firstly, you may want to check the manufacturer's website for your PC model's specifications. Often, the official website provides detailed technical information about supported RAM capacities. You can contact the manufacturer's customer support for assistance if that doesn't yield results. They should be able to provide you with the maximum supported RAM capacity for your system. As for finding a more comprehensive guide about your hardware, consider looking for third-party websites, forums, or tech enthusiast communities. These sources often have detailed technical discussions about various PC models and their upgrade options, which might give you the information you need to make an informed decision about your RAM upgrade. Remember to consult reliable sources to ensure accurate information. Best of luck with your RAM upgrade!
