I will be buying a new HP soon. Question is which desktop wwould be the best for me. I'm 73 yrs old. I do not stream or game (unless you count my scrabble). I only do the basics like e-mail, a little FB, some word processing & shopping. So I don't need gobs of expensive bells and whistles. Which desk top would be the best for me?

An All-in-One is the basic all complete package. If your pondering a desktop, that implies a separate monitor with speakers. You might already have those items. Look for an I-7 processor, 8GB RAM, and SSD drive (256GB) max. Any change in parameters, and your getting into lower performance standards. Do not get a processor less than 3GHz speed. Too many seniors get those 2.0 GHz units, and then complain. An I-5 2GHz processor will make you unhappy.
These stores have fast Business internet hookups, your home IP is slower. What is blazingly fast in that Big Box Store is not what your home IP will provide.
Do not decide on Microsoft 365 bundled.($70 yearly minimum). Other options less than $50 and you own it.

Hello
I would rather advise you to go to a shop, to try if possible some models.
In France it is possible, there are some models accessible to customers, and we can try them.
We can give you some examples here, but it may not be exactly what works for you!
And unless you have tested a model, you can only base it on the configuration, not the quality or the design!
Otherwise, for use this type of pc is enough
