Do I need single rank memory or dual rank memory for a HP Pavilion Desktop 590-p0037na?
2666MHz PC4-21300 DDR4 16gb 288-pin
Can somebody please give me HP's UK phone number?

Hi:
Below is the link that I have for HP phone support in the UK. Call the number listed for computing products for home.
https://www8.hp.com/uk/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html
Run the free utility that I zipped up and attached below, and it will tell you if the memory installed in your PC is single or dual ranked.
Close out of the summary report, and on the left side of the program window, click to expand the memory section.
Then click on the memory module listed there. On the right side of the report window will be the details.
There is a report for the number of ranks...here's mine from a Dell Optiplex 7020...
Number Of Ranks: 2

Below is the link to the Crucial UK memory report for a similar model PC to yours which uses the same motherboard and has a Ryzen processor.

Whatever is listed for that model, should also work for your model.
Here are the specs for the 590-p0044...
