Slim Desktop 290-a0036
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Upgrade 1tb hdd to 250g ssd. Since it is a pain to get at the drive, I will use a usb to sata adapter. Looking at the bios I can boot from a usb drive to test.  All my other machines have ssd boot drives and I don't need a 1 tb drive. This puter is slow with the amd 3.1 gig cpu. I haven't used a amd cpu since I built a Shuttle years ago.

Just looking for comments about problems I may run into ?

The ssd is a Samsung sata drive

Thanks

Happy New Year

Hello
Ok, but that doesn't say exactly what you want to do.
I have not looked at the configuration of the pc, but at some point we will have to open it anyway!
You can already simply try to connect it, in order to check if it is well recognized in the bios
Is it planned a complete installation, or a copy of the original hard drive?
If it is a copy of the Disc, it will be necessary to make a little space, the SSd being smaller, it is necessary to reduce to the maximum what will be copied!
Without further details, difficult to give an answer
