I have a HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0034 - I want to upgrade the SSD but I cannot find any reference to the type of SSD - NVMe or SATA. The manual states it's a 128 GB PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 Solid State but I installed a WD NVMe SSD SN550 and I cannot get the OS loaded. I cannot find any reference in the manuals/documentation as to the actual type of SSD. The model of the factory installed SSD states it's SATA but the manual describes it as NVMe. I tried to install a WD NVMe SSD - each time I tried to load Win 10 the system would return to the initial start screen for Windows installation. Before I get another SSD I need to know whether or not the motherboard supports NVMe or is it SATA only.

Hi:
The Crucial memory report for your model PC only shows SATA M.2 SSD's are supported, not NVMe.
You can see the ones offered all the way down at the bottom of the page.

If both types were supported, Crucial would have offered both types for sale.
