What is the special function key at top left HP Wireless Classic Desktop Keyboard and Mouse (LV290AA#ABA)? What does it do? Above file opener, cut, copy & paste buttons. Pic of icon attached.

@dck860 -- two possibilities:

1. it "maximizes" the current window on the screen, or "shrinks" the window to a smaller size;

2. it is used when you have more than one screen attached to your computer, and want to change the configuration from "show identical content on both screens" to "extend the Windows Desktop display onto the second screen".

As it turns out this button opens a new virtual desktop. Which is a function I wasn't aware of and I'd opened about 90 of them trying to figure out what was what.
