Hi, this is my first question on the board. I have been unable to contact HP assistance so far (I live in France so that might be it) but I want to have a trace of the problems I'm encountering. I'd like to get my computer checked out my a HP technician anyway, but for now, I'll ask the community.
I bought a HP Pavilion 15-eg2045 (Product number 6K9M0EA#ABF) a week ago, running on Windows 11 with an SSD, and I have two problems:
1. My computer emits a static/electrical/buzzing/crackling noise ("grésillement" in French). The noise is present whether the wifi is on or off, whether the sound is on or off, with headphones plugged in and not, and even when the computer is "idle" (turned on and showing the desktop but not doing any tasks that I can see). The noise is also present whether the computer is running on battery power or is plugged into the power supply. I tried running the HP hardware diagnostics (from the HP support assistant app) but it didn't find anything. I'm very annoyed by this noise, as it appears as soon as the computer is turned on, and does not disappear whatever I do. It kind of sounds like there's a poor contact between some of the electronical components, but I'm not a technician, so this is an amateur opinion.
2. My computer's battery life seems to be hindered every time the wifi is on. I understand that this should be true to an extent (as a wifi connexion allows the computer to look for updates and so on) but i'm experiencing important drops which seem anormal. Again, the HP support assistant diagnostic I ran didn't find anything wrong with the battery, but this new computer's battery life is worse than my older computer (a HP Probook 455 G3). Does anyone have a solution for this, or information on what I can do to pinpoint the source of the problem?
Many thanks to all

Hi @Floriane50,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing multiple issues with your HP product. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
To assist better:
- Was there any update prior to the issue?
- How long is the battery backup as of you now?
- Is the notebook PC placed on a flat surface?
- Is the AC adapter connected to a Wall outlet or a surge protector?
While you respond to that please try the below steps:
Update the BIOS & Chipset drivers:
- Here's the link to download and install the above updates: Click here
- I suggest you perform the troubleshooting steps from this document HP Notebook PCs - Testing and Calibrating the Battery (Windows)
This document has the most relevant troubleshooting if your battery appears to be not charging: Battery Does not Power Notebook or Hold a Charge
If the issue persists, Let's Run a battery test using F2 (during restart), if the test failed: That would indicate a hardware issue
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
