The roller wheel on the top of the wireless mouse has stopped working. I draw my finder across it nothing happens. This is a recent fault, it has been working for nearly a year before. It is still under warranty. How do I make contact with HP to get it replaced or repaired?

Hi Alden4
Thank you for your suggestions. The first one appears to have worked. I took your ideas together with those of someone else who suggested using isopropyl alcohol to clean it. I did this slowly and carefully, using a tiny paintbrush and a spectacles cleaning cloth. The result has been positive.
So - much appreciated.
Cheers, Peatykay.

Hi @Peatykay,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing issues with the mouse wheel sticking on your HP Chromebase 21.5 Inch All-In-One Desktop, there are a few potential solutions you can try.
- Clean the mouse: Dust, debris, or accumulated grime can sometimes cause the mouse wheel to stick. Use a soft cloth or a cotton swab to clean the mouse wheel and the surrounding area. Be gentle to avoid damaging any components.
- Adjust mouse settings: Check your computer's mouse settings to ensure that the scrolling behavior is set correctly. Sometimes, software settings can affect the responsiveness of the mouse wheel. You can access the mouse settings through the Control Panel or the Settings menu on your Chromebook.
- Update drivers: Outdated or incompatible mouse drivers can cause issues with the mouse wheel. Visit the HP support website and search for the latest drivers specifically for your Chromebase model. Download and install any available updates for your mouse or input devices.
- Check for hardware issues: If the problem persists, it's possible that there might be a hardware issue with the mouse or the mouse wheel mechanism itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
