Cannot stop the wireless keyboard from waking my desktop. I have unchecked that option in the device manager, but it still wakes the desktop.

@Reg81, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your wireless keyboard is continually waking your desktop despite changes made in the device manager, you might need to ensure that LAN settings are appropriately configured within the BIOS settings. Here are steps to check and potentially resolve this issue:
Enter BIOS/UEFI Setup:
- Restart your desktop.
- Press the Escape key repeatedly during startup until the startup menu opens.
- Press F10 to enter BIOS Setup.
Navigate to Built-In Device Options:
- In the BIOS setup utility, go to the Advanced menu.
- Select built-in device options.
- Locate the embedded LAN controller and check if it is enabled.
- Look for the Wake on LAN setting. Ensure it is configured as follows:
- Disabled: This prevents the system from waking via the Local Area Network (LAN).
BIOS Configuration Reference:
- Embedded LAN Controller: Checked
- Wake on LAN: Disabled
- USB Ports: Configuration based on specific needs (verify proper disabling of unwanted wake functions)
If the issue persists after these steps, consider checking for any available BIOS updates on HP Drivers that may address some underlying configuration conflicts.
