I have an EliteDesk 800 G5 Desktop Mini And on it Bios version 2.18 (from August 2023)
Revision History R21 ROM Family Models Supported: HP EliteDesk 800 G5 Desktop Mini Version 02.18.00
Suddenly, for some reason, the version on the HP website was rolled back to version 2.14 ???? from August 2022?
12-10-2023 02:57 PM
As long as there is no issue caused by that, you should probably just accept it. It is just a number.
I extracted the BIOS update file with WINRAR.
I notice that it has a date of 2019.
I have also experienced a similar thing in the past where the BIOS version numbers were not sequential as I expected. HP may have removed a later dated update because it caused issues with owners desktop PCs.
Here is the History.txt file from within the BIOS download.

It should show version 2.19 or at least 2.18, not version 2.14 Something has been mixed up on the page
I have version 2.18 installed, so how can I suddenly go back to 2.14? How to contact HP? Is there any email? Unfortunately, HP support is very weak here!

Rolling back to previous BIOS versions is no longer an option AFAIK.
If everything works as expected in your laptop there really isn't an issue to worry about.
As I stated before, the version numbers don't really mean that much.
I am saying that from my own experience.

I repeat, something is wrong on the HP website.
Where is version 2.15, 2.16, 2.17, 2.18? Disappeared?
Unable to contact HP. This is a failure, not support.
What you write doesn't make sense either, there is usually some error on the page!
I would prefer to contact someone from HP and find out why the bios suddenly disappears from the website!

This is not the end of strange things

PL:
Oprogramowanie układowe oczekuje na aktualizację przy następnym ponownym rozruchu systemu.
Oczekująca wersja oprogramowania układowego: 21900
EN :
The firmware is waiting to be updated the next time the system reboots. Pending firmware version: 21900
**bleep** ????
HP itself doesn't know what's going on Zero support NOTHING!!! Complete rock bottom But the bios already knows??
