Pavilion p2-1265il
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

As usual, in the morning, I powered on my PC - HP Pavilion p2-1265il. But rather than booting into Windows, a message from BIOS appeared:

"1720 - SMART Hard Drive detects imminent failure...".

I've changed the SATA cable, as well as switched the ports. Still the same message pops up.

Thus I've accepted the sad reality that my hard drive (6 years old) will face a catastrophic failure in the near future. I can hear some clicking sounds when gaming or doing heavy activities like compressing data.etc.

I need serious suggestion about the best type of Hard disks compatible with my PC.

Q1. Does my PC supports modern SSDs?

Q2. Is Hybrids SSHDs avilable for my PC?

Q3.What would be the best HDD or SSD available and compatible with my p2-1265il PC (need suggestions)?

(expecting quick replies)

@joshypm,

Because of the computers age, no benefit would be gained by an SSD.

Just get the same size 3.5" hard drive, and perform a clone.
