Your OMEN by HP 880-120 Desktop PC (2HJ46AA) is a very upgradeable gaming platform, with plenty of life left if you are willing to invest in a number of upgrades.

It all depends on your budget.

Please verify that your desktop is fitted with the following components:

Tampa2 motherboard (SSID: 8437) -which is 24-pin ATX-power enabled, meaning, you can swap your power supply with a more powerful industry standard ATX PSU if needed.

2 x 8GB of DDR4 PC4-19200, 2400 MHz, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, DIMM (UDIMM), 288-pin RAM sticks -consider purchasing two identical (same brand, model and capacity ) RAM modules to boost your RAM to 4 x 8GB.

GTX1080 8GB graphics card -this card is still an excellent gaming card, but if you want to upgrade your graphics card and keep your 500-watt power supply, consider one of these GPUs (powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power cable):

ASUS DUAL RTX 4060 Ti Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database

ASUS DUAL RTX 4070 Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database

ASUS DUAL RTX 3060 Ti Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database

500-watt ATX power supply -depending on what card you choose -especially if you want a higher-end graphics card than the ones I suggested, you'll have to upgrade your PSU to a 750-watt power supply.  You'll have to watch its dimensions (LxWxH) for fit inside your case.

i7-8700 processor -upgrade to an i7-8700K.  This will give you just the extra bit of computing performance you probably want. If interested, consider buying it from a trusted eBay Seller who allows (free) returns.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
