Hello, I have a Sunflower motherboard.
I tried to install the 2nd HDD to light blue SATA and doesn't work, If I changed to SATA dark blue, the HDD will be detected.
Are the SATA cables special?
HDD is a 300 Gb.

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
To make the light-blue SATA connector on your HP Sunflower motherboard detect an HDD/SSD, please follow these steps:
Ensure that the HDD/SSD is properly connected to the light-blue SATA connector. Check that the SATA data cable is securely connected to both the motherboard's SATA port and the HDD's/SSD's SATA port.
Make sure that the power cable is connected to the HDD/SSD as well. The SATA data cable only transfers data, so the HDD/SSD also needs power to operate. Connect the appropriate power cable to the HDD/SSD from your power supply unit.
Enter the BIOS/UEFI setup of your desktop. Restart your computer and keep tapping the F10 key to access the BIOS/UEFI setup.
Navigate to the "Storage" or "SATA Configuration" section in the BIOS/UEFI setup. The exact location and naming may differ depending on your motherboard and BIOS/UEFI version.
Look for an option related to SATA ports or devices. It may be called "SATA Configuration," "SATA Mode," "SATA Operation," or something like that. Select that option.
In the SATA port/device configuration, make sure that all SATA ports are enabled. It might be listed as "SATA 2," "SATA Port 2," or similar. Enable the port if it is currently disabled.
Save the changes and exit the BIOS/UEFI setup. Look for an option to save the changes you made, usually by pressing F10 or following the on-screen instructions. Then, exit the BIOS/UEFI* setup.
Restart your computer, and it should now detect the HDD/SSD connected to your light-blue SATA connector.
* make sure you got the most current BIOS version.
By following these steps, you should be able to make the light-blue SATA connector on your HP Sunflower motherboard detect your HDD/SSD.
Hope this was helpful.
