HP Desktop - M01-F0016
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP PC came with factory installed Hynix NVMe SSD 237 GB.  Can I add a second, higher capacity NVMe SSD to the system motherboard?  If not, are adapters available that would support a second NVMe  SSD installation?

your system does not have another free PCI-E M.2 slot and it has no PCI-e x4 slots (only x1 and x16) and the x16 is usually used for video cards

however, if you are using the ryzen 3400G's onboard video then yes you can install a pci-e x4 ssd/m.2 card in that x16 slot

Thank you!   Does x4 mean that it will support 4th generation NVMe drives?  Apologizing in advance for my sloth and ignorance, but is the x16 slot the only other slot on the motherboard that is the same size as the one that the factory Hynix NVMe drive is installed in?
