HP Pavilion Elite HPE-112y
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I recently have inherited my family HP Pavilion Elite PCE-112y as a project for me to upgrade it to a decent gaming pc. I have never attempted this before, I have actually never even opened a pc before. I am very new to this and I need some help that youtube just won't supply me with. As you probably saw I was looking at swapping the old AMD Phenom II CPU possibly with a newer AMD Ryzen 3 2200G. I was wondering if it would be compatible or not to have this change, or if I am just stuck with AMD phenom forever. I am very new to this so please be patient with me. Thank you for your possible help! The basics of my pc are HERE. If that doesn't work then here is the URL-

@Llamabro4,
The CPU is not compatible with your circa 2009 system.  Nor would a modern Graphic card (GPU) because the newer cards all are UEFI (circa Sept 2012). Your unit would HALT with these newer cards.
