Hi:
If your PC has a 32 bit operating system, the most memory that can be seen and used by Windows is 4 GB.
With a 64-bit operating system, your PC can support up to 4 x 4 GB of DDR2-6400 memory.
A 4 GB DDR2 memory chip will be very expensive.
I installed 4 x 2 GB of DDR2-6400 memory in my dc7900 SFF PC.
Below is the link to the HP Quickspecs for the dc7900 model series which provides useful information regarding the PC.
