Elitedesk 800 G3
Ubuntu LTS

problem is when adding Google Coral dual TPU m.2 card to m.2 NIC slot. System doesn't recognize it.

card chips are heating up, but no further actions. enabling/disabling m.2 options from bios doesn't affect

tested with bios versions 02.37 and 02.38

Below is the link to the 800 G3 quickspecs.

HP Elite 800 G3 Business Desktop Business PCs (netsotech.com)

You did not state what form factor PC you have, but under each form factor's specifications, it clearly indicates...

DM:

(1) internal M.2 2230 connector for optional wireless NIC

SFF:

(1) internal M.2 WLAN (2230 connector)

MT:

(1) internal M.2 WLAN (2230 connector)

You can't install anything else in that slot but a supported M.2 Wifi adapter.
