Hi HP community!
I... got a problem with upgrading a power supply to install a GPU. I need your insight. I think I'm going to hate HP's exclusive environment in PC components.
So, here is my sad story:
I bought "HP ENVY Desktop TE01-3020 PC" which doesn't have a dedicated GPU, and I was going to use my old best-friendy GPU, 1060 6GB. The problem I encountered is it uses a 310w power supply, L08262-004, which doesn't have a 6-pin for a GPU... I thought It was not a big deal. I could simply change it to a better power supply. After trying to use EVGA 750w G5 and then doing a deep research about a **bleep** weird 7-pin connecter (pwrcmd p2), I realized HP PCs use only their own motherboard and power supply... Oh gosh... So, based on my long investigation, I come to the following conclusion: HP's 500w power supply which is L05757-800. Is it compatible with mine? Is the watt power enough? Is there another or better way to upgrade the 310w power supply for this PC?
There is not much information about TE01-3xxx, so I wanna do a double check with other experts. I hope I can enjoy a fancy video game at the end...
Thanks.

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
The reason why you haven't received a response to your inquiry right away is because -like you mentioned, quote: "There is not much information about [the] TE01-3xxx".
According to: Power Supply Cross Reference for specific models - HP Support Community - 7483923, the "TE01" desktop series appear to be compatible with the L05757-800, but this is not confirmed for your TE01-3020.
The least expensive HP L05757-800 I was able to locate online [08/01/2020] goes for about $111 here: L05757-800 original HP Desktop-PC power supply 500 Watt - sparepartworld.com, and my thinking is that if you were to purchase it and this power supply is not compatible, you could return it to get you money back.
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,

Yeah, I had the same thought as you. So, I purchased L05757-800 and installed it with my 1060 6g GPU... Voila! It's working well with a fancy graphic game!! No frame drop, No hardware issue! (Actually, the case is quite packed due to the big size of the GPU...)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I hope this post can be a good reference for other TE01-3xxx users who are in a similar problem.
