HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-0023w

Hello all!

So I just finished a fairly time consuming upgrade/mod to my TG01 (installed a Ryzen 7 3700X, fit its accompanying wraith prism CPU cooler to the intel mounting holes, 3D printed/installed an air duct directly over the CPU cooler (think back to old Intel 4 cases lol), and laser cut a hole in the front bezel to install a DVD drive with matching 3D printed face plate). During the time fitting everything into the case, I noticed something on the mother board. What exactly is the pin rail labeled "LED DEBUG E18" used for (see attached photo)? I've tried googling it, but most results were about MSI mother boards and didn't seem to be the same thing.

On a similar note, what about the PWRCMD plug? Obviously it's used since it has a plug for it directly from the PSU, I was just curious as to what it's actual function is for the MB.Erica 8643 Manual.jpgErica 8643 Manual 2.jpg20240111_154007.jpg20240114_163204.jpg20240118_111924.jpg20240118_111918.jpg20240118_113803.jpg20240120_192209.jpg

That looks very nice!  I once had to obtain a 3D printed fan hood for a GPU water cooler.  The AMD Radeon radiators' fan needed to  pull air from the front of the case and I got a reducer and used both the original fan and the front case fan..

That LED header is used for diagnostics after assembly.  Some systems have LED lights, others have a cable to a PCB that gives a diagnostic code.  I suspect the factory has a reader that attaches to the header for diagnostics.

The SPI DEBUG is mentioned here, scroll to the bottom image.

hopeful you will never have to use that header!
