TP01-1034nl - RAM upgrade

Hi All,

I need to upgrade RAM of my TP01-1034nl.

I'm evaluating two options: +8 GB or + 16 GB.

The unit came with a 8 GB RAM, one single memory bank.

It's a Samsung M378A1G44AB0-CWE, 8 GB, 1Rx16, PC4 3200AA UC0-11, 288 pins

In Samsung site, I found two 16 GB memory banks:

- M378A2G43AB3-CWE, 16 GB, 1Rx8 DDR4 3200, (2G x 8 ) x 8, 288 pins

- M378A2K43EB1-CWE, 16 GB, 2Rx8 DDR4 3200, (1G x 8 ) x 16, 288 pins

Are they both compatible with the 8 GB RAM?

Any alternative?

For best RAM performance, it is highly recommended to fit your PC with matching RAM: same brand, model, and capacity.

So, my recommendation would be to either add an identical 8GB Samsung RAM stick or use two identical 16GB RAM sticks.

Today, the 32GB of RAM is installed and the system sees it. Now for the 1TB SSD to replace the existing 16GB SSD...

An HP Pavilion 590-p0053w Desktop PC (3LA71AA) is fitted with a Lincs motherboard (SSID: 843B), which has an M.2 NVMe Gen3 x4 SSD socket.

I had to look it up again to believe it: the stock M.2 drive is a "16 GB PCIe NVMe 3D Xpoint M.2 Solid State Drive" -it is an Optane 'acceleration' drive to speed up booting from your HDD.

I would recommend any of these 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD purchase options, which are more affordable than ever: these sell for $50-$60 via Amazon:
