Hi there. I put an AMD video card in my Ryzen 5700G TP01-2066 HP Pavilion Desktop. I upgraded the power supply to handle the increased power requirements and it appears to work stably and correctly. The issue I’m having is that I can’t seem to find a way to disable the Integrated Vega 8 graphics and Windows 11 keeps reinstalling the drivers with Windows Update which doesn’t play nice with my added video card. I have to reinstall the AMD adrenaline drivers daily for it to work.
I don’t see any BIOS option (I’m on f.15) to disable the onboard gpu. Supposedly it gets disabled automatically when you are using a third party graphics card but that is not the case…I’m looking for jumpers or something in the form of documentation to clear cmos to see if that causes the onboard video to disable correctly but can’t find anything. Help! Thanks!

hi
indeed
HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-2066 PC Product Specifications
Integrated graphics
- AMD Radeon Graphics
note:Integrated video is not available if a graphics card is installed.
So normally we will not find any option in the bios ..
May not be the case, for you, but with my hp computers, which I have had so far, it was, and if a graphics card is in place, the built-in base driver will not be visible in device manager!
It will reappear, only if the video card is removed!
Anyway, as microsoft update updates, for the drivers are too often problematic, the best is to deactivate the automatic function, we will only install what we decide
