Your PC's motherboard will not support any TPM security device.

If you were wanting to do this to run W11, the processor is not supported either.

Intel processors need to be 8th gen core or newer and your PC only has an Intel 4th gen core processor.

You can run W11 on your PC but you would have to use a workaround that bypasses the W11 hardware checks.

I've used this method on several of my PCs that don't meet the W11 hardware requirements.

I upgraded two desktop PC's that have Intel 4th gen core i5 processors.

Herzlichen Dank für Ihre Antwort. Ich Habe Windows 11 Ver. 25H2 auf einem anderen Weg als Server-Version installiert. Das Gerät funktioniert recht gut. Jedoch wird das Update "2025-12 Sicherheitsupdate (KB5072033) (26200.7462)" nich installiert. Aus diesem Grund suche ich nach einer Lösung und bin dabei auf das fehlende TPM-Modul gestossen.

Ich werde also weiter suchen, wie ich das genannte Sicherheitsupdate installieren kann.

Vielleicht wissen Sie ja dazu auch eine Lösung. Wenn ja, teilen Sie mir diese bitte mit.

Have you tried running the standalone update from the Microsoft Update Catalog website?

I have a PC that has no TPM security device at all and an Intel 4th gen core processor that is running W11 25H2 and the KB5072033 security update installed via Windows update just fine, so I don't believe that not having a TPM 2.0 security device is the problem.

Hallo Paul

Ich habe das Update vom Catalog versucht zu installieren, sowohl das für 25H2, wie auch dasjenige für 24H2 Serverversion. Bei beiden läuft die Ihnstallation durch und am Ende wird angezeigt, dass etwas nicht funktioniert hat, und die Änderung wieder rückgängig gemacht wird. Also bin ich noch nicht weiter. Trotzdem herzlichen Dank für Ihre schnelle Antwort. Ich suche weiter.

Perhaps a later update will fix the problem.

Microsoft releases the monthly updates later today (Patch Tuesday).

I use the Microsoft Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below to prevent an update from showing up and trying to install when it will not install.

Unzip and run the utility.

It will find any updates pending to be installed.

Check the box to hide the update that won't install.

The utility will run again and report that the problem is 'Fixed.'

Close out of the utility and the update should not show up in Windows Update any longer.

Danke für das Hilfsprogramm. Dieses habe ich gestartet und das gefundene Update markiert. Das Tool hat danach das Update als erledigt taxiert. Es wurde beim nächsten Start des Tools auch nicht mehr angezeigt. Trotzdem wird das "2025-12 Sicherheitsupdate (KB5072033) (26200.7462)" unter Einstellungen - System - Windows Update als nicht erfolgreich aufgeführt. Nun hoffe ich, dass ein nächstes Update diese Problem lösen wird. Bis dann suche ich nach weiteren Möglichkeiten.

Guten Tag Paul

Gestern abend habe ich noch festgestellt, dass die Meldung unter Einstellungen - System - Windows Update verschwindet, wenn ich erneut nach Updates suche. So hat sich diese Situation mal gelöst.

In der Zwischenzeit ist aber bereits wieder ein Sicherheitsupdate erschienen, welches sich auf meinem Rechner auch nicht installieren. Das konnte ich aber mit Ihrem Tool markieren, so dass es nicht mehr stört.

Sorry that yesterday's security update didn't install for you either.

That update installed on all of my PC's including the notebook with the Intel 4th gen core processor and no TPM security device, so it is probably an issue with that specific model series you have--not just any PC without a TPM security device.

The security updates installed on my desktop PC's with Intel 4th gen core processors and TPM 1.2 security devices as well.

Glad the Hide Windows Update utility worked to clear the updates from showing up again.

It is a very handy utility to have, that's for sure.

I hope Microsoft never retires that tool like the message you get indicates.

That message has been generated for around 3 years now.
